Russ Teddy Bears

Russ Bears are made by the Russ Berrie and Company, Inc., a leading maker of teddy bears, other stuffed animals, gift products, soft baby toys and developmental toys.  It was formed in 1963 by Russell Berrie in a rented garage in New Jersey.

Russ Berrie rose in popularity in the 1980s and 90s with its Russ Rutherford III stuffed monkey line and the Troll doll.  Their monkeys were stuffed but had a plastic face, hands, and feet.  The homely Troll dolls were a sensation for awhile but quickly faded.

Russ Berrie acquired Shining Stars Co. in 2007, which has a collection of stuffed animals that go online in a kid-safe virtual world.  Find amazing deals on Russ teddy bears on eBay today.  You’ll probably have a difficult time picking just one!
